At the time of application, prospective students from the USA are encouraged to explore funding options from the Fulbright Canada Awards for American Students.

Also there is the Organization of American States, which offers a way for US citizens and citizens of other eligible states to study in Canada. Although the University of Toronto is not an official affiliate of the program, successful applicants can nonetheless use these scholarships to study here with us.

When will I know if my application is successful?

Our Admissions Committee reviews all applications and makes its decisions by early February. Shortly thereafter we issue letters of offer or rejection, and in some cases we may place applicants on a waiting list. Offers will outline our proposed funding, and applicants will be given a deadline in March by which we request a response.
